GRUPPOEMMEBI wins public tender and re-furnishes the DIG department at the Politecnico of Milano
GRUPPOEMMEBI is proud to announce the completion of one of its latest projects: the complete remodel of the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering at the Politecnico of Milan.
Take a look at all of our interior design projects for offices and study spots.
A modern and open space to inspire our future engineers
After winning the public tender for the complete remodel of the university’s department, GRUPPOEMMEBI worked on designing and manufacturing bespoke furniture for all spaces.
Our interior designers and architects decided to make the most out of the space at the University by creating open and spacious areas that can be shared for studying and meeting up.
The furniture is 100% Italian bespoke, completely designed and manufactured by GRUPPOEMMEBI. The design won for its modern and sleek look, that follows a blue colour palette that reminds us of the University of Milan. Pops of colour, like red and yellow, were added through accents of furniture, like chairs and tables.
The use of different flooring instantly catches the eye: the wooden floors of the common areas contrast the tiles used for all other spaces. The northern European style is softened with greenery, widely used through the entire department thanks to indoor plant walls, one of which is horizontal and fixed to the ceiling.
A special thanks to Professor Antonio Calabresi and Engineer Laura Catellani for allowing us to show our full potential through this project for the University of Milan. We hope the spaces we created will be functional and of inspiration for all students that utilize this space to grow and achieve their goals.
